About therapist
Knowledge and experience:
Hello. My name is Rochelle J. Delain, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and owner of Renew Integrative Counseling Center. My interest in mental health began in high school. No stranger to trauma and grief in my own life, I have always had a heart of compassion for people who are struggling with trauma and grief, feel shackled to painful pasts, or find themselves stuck in psychological distress. For various reasons however, I chose a different career path after high school. I am also a Chiropractor who earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic and have been in practice for over 30 years.
Education:
I earned my Masters of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. As a counselor and veteran Chiropractor, I have adopted a holistic perspective that helping people achieve true mental health is more than simply addressing pathologies and symptoms. Symptom relief is certainly an initial and important part of helping people, but symptom relief alone is not enough to restore mental and emotional wholeness.

My Approach:
I believe that mind, body, and spirit must be considered when addressing mental health issues and seek to address root causes. I am passionate about helping teens and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, personality disorders, and difficulty navigating life transitions. Previous mental health experience includes facilitating women’s codependency and sexual abuse survivor groups at my church for 7 years as well as completing a year long internship and 6 month contractor position at Heritage Institute. As a committed Christian, I am informed by a biblical worldview; however, I welcome and respect people of all faiths. Christian counseling is available upon request. As one who is passionate about helping people build healthy and lifelong marriages, I also provide premarital counseling and am certified in the Saving your Marriage before it Starts (SYMBIS) approach.
